As the guiding force behind all of Kelsh Wilson’s strategic and creative work, Fred Wilson draws on more than two decades of experience as a designer, art director, and business owner. In 1989, he founded his own firm, Wilson Design Associates, after holding the position of art director at the Woods Group in the Baltimore/Washington area and at Kramer Miller Lomden Glassman in Philadelphia. Fred later merged Wilson Design with Kelsh Marr Studios in 1992 to form Kelsh Wilson Design. Working with photographer Nick Kelsh, he created a firm that integrated the disciplines of graphic design, photography, and writing under one roof—a unique advantage to clients seeking communications services. Over time, he has expanded Kelsh Wilson’s practice to include strategic message consulting, branding and identity work, and web development. Fred also has special expertise in managing a range of communications projects, large and small for schools, universities and corporations, such as The College of William & Mary, City of Hope, George Mason University, Malvern Preparatory School, Oregon State University, Rutgers University, and the University of Delaware.
